There’s a lot more to see than the “Watch Together” feature on Facebook, launched earlier this month, as the social network has content agreements with Lionsgate, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Warner Bros.
With “Watch Together” people can share their reactions on Facebook. Watch videos with friends and family during video calls on Messenger From Facebook and through the Messenger Rooms group’s video calling feature.
The social network said in a blog post, “Now people can tune in together even when they aren’t, and features like Fruitvale Station, Hairspray and Reservoir Dogs to name a few, with hits like Madeas Family Reunion and Karate Kid coming soon. Or watch a season of Community or Dawson’s Creek with your best friends. And when Halloween is around the corner, you can feel scary with choices like The Blair Witch Project, The Descent, or The Grudge 2. “
Facebook announced at the launch of Watch Together that over 150 million video calls are made daily through Messenger and over 200 million videos are sent through the application.
